TCI Border Force Listens: Safer Borders, Safer Communities Outreach Heads to North Caicos and South Caicos

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, 11th July 2025Aiming for closer community ties and a new level of openness, the Turks and Caicos Islands Border Force has launched a series of initiatives designed to improve how it serves the public. On July 9th, 2025, TCI Border Force hosted a community engagement in South Caicos, where residents could directly share their thoughts on issues related to border security. The event allowed for spirited conversations between Border Force and the local community on Border Force operations in South Caicos and opportunities for improvement.

Beyond the community engagement in South Caicos, members of the Border Force leadership team, including the Director General, conducted a door-to-door outreach in North Caicos on the 19th of June 2025. This allowed the leadership team to meet with residents one-on-one, listen to their perspectives, and better understand the unique challenges they face.

The feedback collected from both South Caicos and North Caicos is currently being carefully reviewed and will serve as a foundation for shaping plans. Coming from these engagements, TCI Border Force commits to driving real improvements in border management and customs operations across the Turks and Caicos Islands. TCI Border Force offers its sincere thanks to all who gave their time to these engagements. Your feedback is not just appreciated but indispensable.

Speaking about the importance of these engagements, Emilio Seymour, Director General of TCI Border Force, stated, "Our recent community engagements were not just visits; they were fact-finding missions. We've seen the unfiltered realities on the ground, and more critically, we've listened to your concerns. TCI Border Force is now prepared to act. Our lines of communication remain wide open, and I urge you to continue sharing your experiences through our Customer Service Portal and using our anonymous TIP hotline to report suspicious activity. Together, we will ensure the continued safety and security of the Turks and Caicos Islands"

The TCI Border Force is dedicated to keeping our islands safe and secure, but we cannot do it alone.
